چکیده

Objectives: The objective of this study is to have an expanded evaluation on the effect phacotrabeculectomy ocular biometric (ACD/anterior chamber depth, lens thickness), gonioscopic and intraocular pressure (IOP) in primary angle closure glaucoma (PACG).
Methods: A cohort PACG patient who underwent from September 2018- March 2019 at Dr.Kariadi hospital. Preoperative secondary data baseline IOP, ACD, thickness, gonioscopy were obtained medical record. Postoperative 2 weeks after surgery.
Results: Thirty eyes 23 patients had preoperative postoperative mean IOP (26,20±2,24 18,35±2,49), ACD (2,46±0,37 3,40±0,40), score (4,97±0,96 8,33±1,63), thickness (4,58±0,39). There significant differences between (<0,001) before phacotrabeculectomy. greater was associated with reduction ( <0,001 r=0,756), increased 0,005 r=0,498), <0,001, r=0,802). positive correlation can be seen r=0,666) negative r=0.683), r=0,876).
Conclusion: Phacotrabeculectomy may effective reducing increasing scores significantly patients. Lens positively

Gonioscopic Features in Patients with Acute and Chronic Angle-Closure Glaucoma

Background: A number of ocular biometric parameters, iris hiotologic and anatomic characters have been suggested as inciting factors for converting patients with narrow angle to angle-closure glaucoma. This study was conducted to determine if there was any goniscopic difference between patients with acute angle-closure glaucoma (AACG) and chronic angle-closure glaucoma (CACG). Methods: ...

Comparison of surgical outcomes after phacotrabeculectomy in primary angle-closure glaucoma versus primary open-angle glaucoma

PURPOSE To compare postoperative outcomes and assess factors associated with intraocular pressure (IOP) reduction after phacotrabeculectomy in patients with primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) and primary angle-closure glaucoma (PACG). METHODS This is a retrospective study of patients who underwent phacotrabeculectomy between 2010 and 2013. Factors including age, gender, visual field (VF), the...

Effect of caffeine on the intraocular pressure in patients with primary open angle glaucoma

PURPOSE Coffee and tea are very common nonalcoholic beverages. However, their intake, particularly that of coffee, has been suggested to increase intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open angle glaucoma/ocular hypertension. The causative agent has been suggested to be their caffeine content. The objective of this study was to determine if this represents a direct caffeine effect. This st...

The Biometric Values of Affected and Fellow Eyes in Patients with Acute Attack of Primary Angle Closure

Background: It has been estimated that 67 million people worldwide are affected with a primary glaucoma and that one-third have primary angle closure glaucoma. We aimed to determine the biometric differences between the eyes of patients with acute attack of primary angle closure and their non-involved fellow eyes. Methods: Twenty eight patients with acute attack of primary angle closure were re...
